Dr. Paula G. West, DVM

Paula received her DVM degree from Louisiana State University in 1988. She completed a general internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, and a surgical residency at the University of Georgia in 1992. She achieved Diplomate status in the College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1997, and went on to help establish a full service specialty and Emergency and Critical Care practice at Arboretum View Animal Hospital in the Chicago area. She spent 10 years as Chief of Surgery at this practice. During this time, she was also a surgical consultant for the Brookfield and Lincoln Park Zoos, as well as Loyola University Medical School’s Department of Comparative Medicine. Dr. West joined Circle City Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital in August 2009.
