Dr. Lemmons Now a Boarded Specialist

Dr. Matthew Lemmons received word late last month that he successfully completed his board exams to become a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College.

Completing all the requirements and passing extensive board exams validates his efforts and assures peers and pet owners alike that his skills and knowledge in dentistry and maxillofacial surgery are credible.

A native-born Hoosier, Dr. Lemmons chose to return to our great state after completing his residency in Wisconsin. Historically the availability for advanced dentistry and oral surgery

has been scarce in Indiana, making an established full-time specialty in Indianapolis all the more exciting.

The American Veterinary Dental College was established in 1988. This elite college of just over 100 has members in the US, Canada, Australia, and Europe.

It is the only specialty college that awards the status of Diplomate for veterinary dentistry and oral surgery.

Veterinarians who seek this recognition must successfully complete rigorous standards set forth by the college, pass a written, bench, and 13 hour practical exam before they can employ the word, “Specialist”

Another Recall Affects Commonly Used Drug

Circle City now sponsor for continuing education  approval

A Class 1 recall of Bertek and UDL Laboratories Digitek (digoxin tablet, USP) began April 25th. This voluntary all lot recall is due to the possibility that these tablets may contain twice the approved level of active ingredient than is appropriate.

This recall follows closely behind the Fentanyl Patches in mid February and again in early March of this year. A detailed report on these recalls can be found at Actavis

Due to the quality and frequency of our CE presentations, The Indiana Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners has awarded us the privilege of automatic CE approval for presentations held here. This means our guests will consistently receive their CE Credits the same night as the presentation. This is an all around benefit and we are pleased the Board has placed its trust in our ability and integrity.
