Veterinary Radiology Digital Radiology makes diagnostic procedures fast and convenient for our clinicians and your pets. Our board certified radiologist reviews every image to assist with and confirm a diagnosis and develops a report that is sent back to your family veterinarian. Our radiologist may also be called upon to “take a second look” at radiographs that your family veterinarian has already taken and, again, he will prepare a report that your family veterinarian will review with you. Similar to human medicine, you may not see our radiologist, but you can be assured that he has reviewed each image in detail giving you and your pet the best in diagnostics. |

Diagnostic ultrasound uses high frequency sound waves to image various soft tissues of the body. The internal composition of various organs are visualized, an advantage over radiology, where only the contour of an organ is seen. Primary uses are for imaging the abdominal cavity and other soft tissues. The heart is also commonly imaged with ultrasound and the technique is called “echocardiography”. Considered an important part of this specialty, our board certified radiologist and registered veterinary technician work with this sophisticated equipment which can often avoid more invasive diagnostic procedures. |
